Created from an ambitious and futuristic perspective,
the much-anticipated HarmonyOS was released just now!
How will the epoch-making release of the future-oriented operating system change our life?
Huawei: HarmonyOS is more than a mobile operating system; it will also enable the connectivity among different types of IoT devices by removing ecological barriers.
Just days before the release of HarmonyOS, I luckily talked face-to-face with a Huawei engineer at BluePark, learning how HarmonyOS is deeply integrated with BAIC products--
When the system senses a passenger in the front passenger seat, the console screen will be automatically divided into two parts. One is for the driver and the other for the front passenger, which allows both driving and entertainment to continue.
Stretch five fingers to stop the music.
Make a number gesture for six to answer the phone.
Say “yeah” to take a picture.
With HarmonyOS, you can abandon all the complex ways of interaction.
Besides voice control, a variety of shortcut keys and flattened UIs are also available for you to control cars as easily as you operate mobile phones.
Let’s experience the convenience through a simple scenario.
You pick up an important business call in your car.
When you turn off the engine and get off the car, the call is transferred to your Huawei mobile.
When you need to dig around in your bag for the key, the call is transferred to your Huawei watch.
Upon entering home, the call is transferred again to the Huawei smart screen.
……
But it’s for sure today that the world’s first intelligent cars equipped with HarmonyOS will be two BAIC stars: ARCFOX αS Huawei HI Edition and the brand-new fuel-powered BEIJING SUV. Both will be unveiled and launched within the year!
An infinite array of possibilities you can or can’t expect from future cars will be first realized in the two models!
In the coming days, we’ll further reveal the unknown people and stories behind the cross-industrial cooperation between BAIC and Huawei, both giants in respective industries.
