The outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia has been the concern of the whole nation, including 130,000 BAIC staff.

In addition to urgent production of negative pressure ambulances, it also donates to fight against the epidemic. After Beijing Benz and Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd. donated RMB10 million, Beijing Hyundai and Hyundai Motor Group donated RMB15 million and Hyundai Capital donated RMB1 million, BAIC Group and ten of its subordinate jointly donated RMB17 million.

Continuous Production of Special Purpose Vehicles
In addition to donations, BAIC Group also made all efforts to organize production of ambulances and special-purpose transport vehicles despite of difficulties.
Fujian Benz and BAIC Foton responded positively to the negative presseure ambulance production task assigned by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It resumed production from the Lunar New Year’s Day to guarantee supply of negative pressure ambulances. A number of negative pressure ambulances have been sent to the frontline.
Foton Loxa pumpers, mixers and cranes worked at the site of Wuhan Huoshenshan day and night.
According to BAIC IoV statistics, more than 2600 Foton logistics vehicles and construction vehicles are engaged in epidemic prevention and rescue work in Wuhan.
Negative pressure ambulance is the most urgently needed first-aid facility in the infected areas. Equipped with a full set of rescue equipment, negative pressure isolation stretcher and air negative pressure circulation system, it can discharge air after non-hazardous treatment and effectively reduce contamination during rescue. It provides good isolation, ventilation, corrosion prevention and resistance to bacteria, and achieves real “safety isolation”. It is a strong support for epidemic prevention and relief.
BAIC EV5 is fully enclosed against water, fire, theft and contamination. It only needs a little refitting to be used for transporting vaccine and other anti-epidemic supplies. The vehicle is also equipped with ultraviolet disinfection facility to sterilize empty vehicle and the outer packing of anti-epidemic supplies.
Mobility Services to Front-liners
Considering the lack of transport facilities in the major infected areas, BAIC Group also organized relevant subordinates to offer mobility services to medical workers, epidemic prevention personnel, media reporting the epidemic and anti-epidemic supplies.
BAIC Qingxiang offers free car rental services over a month to frontline medical workers, rescue personnel, and media workers reporting the epidemic in 20 cities around China (hotline for free car rental service: 400-100-1666).
BAIC Mobility will provide over 2000 light trucks, medium buses and small buses free of charge for governments, NGOs, industry associations and anti-epidemic delivery companies in ten cities including Beijing, Changsha and Zhengzhou to ensure delivery of anti-epidemic supplies and goods vital to people’s livelihood (hotline for free car rental service: 400-100-1666).

As a backbone enterprise of China’s automobile industry and the largest municipally-run SOE of Beijing, BAIC Group will remaine ture to its original aspiration, conscientiously fulfill its corporate social responsibility, and make unremitting efforts for a better life of the people. BAIC Group will implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC and Beijing Municipality, and win the battle against the epidemic with the whole nation.
