The Car Awards Group Inc. (CAGI), recently launched their 2014-2015 Car of the Year-Philippines (COTY-P). BAIC’s MZ40 was awarded Best Sub Compact Van. The event marked the first time that a vehicle by a Chinese brand was recognized and awarded by COTY – P. It shows the strength of BAIC’s products and the confidence of the international market in the company.
Held at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Philippines, the formal launch of the 2014-2015 COTY-P was well attended by manufacturers and distributors that have participated in past events, along with newcomers and newly merged car manufacturers. As a newcomer to COTY-P, BAIC delivered a strong performance with its cutting edge vehicles and successfully won a prize in the event. With its stylish appearance, extra-large interior, safety features, ergonomic design as well as superior dynamic performance, the MZ40 stands out from other vehicles in the same class. Especially its secure handling and braking left a strong impression on all the clients.
In October, J.D. Power Asia Pacific released its 2014 China Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) and BAIC’s A113/A115 was named the winner of IQS’s compact car segment in China. BAIC’s car models have proved to be trustworthy and high quality products, which are winning more and more awards. We believe that the MZ40 will also be praised for its excellent performance in the global market.
