Power, which is right the recognition to BAIC products’ excellent quality
China Initial Quality Study (IQS) has been conducted for 16 years. As an industry benchmark for the quality of new vehicles, IQS is devised to evaluate those vehicle problems that occur within 2-6 months after purchase of the new vehicles, and it classifies initial quality problems into two types, namely, design defects and fault /failure in operation. The 2015 China Initial Quality Study (IQS) is based on feedbacks from 21,707 owners of new vehicles purchased between October, 2014 and June, 2015. The study analyzes 270 different passenger-vehicle models of 71 different brands in 21 vehicle segments. And the data were collected from April to August 2015 in 57 major cities across China.
In total, 11 vehicle segments are eligible for awards in 2015 China Initial Quality Study, of which, the D50 ranks the first place in midsize basic car segment. It is worth saying that BAIC D50 is the first Class-A family car subordinate to BAIC. In addition to inheriting concise design philosophy of North Europe, the D50 carries forward brand DNA “Passion for performance” and integrates precise maneuverability, all-around safety, and economical and high-efficiency vehicle performance, becoming an extraordinary sedan with North European performance in the Class-A family car market. Not only did D50 rank the first place in the midsize basic car segment for its excellent performance as per IQS report, but also received welcome and trust from an increasing number of customers at home and abroad.
Simultaneously, the D20 was also ranked into the report of J. D. Power. As a brand-new upgraded version of A113/A115, the D20, by virtue of its European technology and internationalized quality, ranked the second place in compact car segment. In light of 2014 IQS report released by J.D. Power, A113/A115 ran ahead of the compact car segment. In a sense, BAIC A113/A115 and D20’s successive ranking into the report is a great recognition to quality of car models in this series.
