On May 13, BAIC signed a letter of intent with Mullen Technologies, Inc. which has preliminarily selected four new energy models of BAIC to be exported to the USA for evaluation and certification. Afterwards the two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation with focus on the export of BAIC’s new energy vehicles and traditional fuel vehicles to the USA.
Mullen is a US electric vehicle manufacturer and distributor, which certifies new energy vehicles and fuel vehicles to enter the USA, and provides advanced energy storage solutions. This time, the new energy vehicles to be exported to the USA for evaluation and certification are ES210, EU260, EV200 and EU220. Senior Vice President Li Ji of BAIC International; Xu Zhe, Director of the Management Department of BJEV; Richard Curtis, President of Mullen; Zou Weiping, CEO of Mullen Greater China; as well as other executives attended the signing ceremony.
Mr. Zou Weiping fully recognized BAIC’s new energy products and was fully confident that BJEV will continue to lead the new energy industry in the future. He pledged full support for the certification of BAIC’s new energy products in the USA, looking forward to the sales of BAIC’s new energy products in the US market in the next period.
The signing of this letter of intent marks the beginning of the entry of BAIC’s new energy products into the US market, proves that BAIC’s new energy products is gradually being recognized by different countries, and shows BAIC’s confidence and determination to build a world-class brand.
